Intranet Rollout to Academic Depts

Charge

  • Develop a Website to support Faculty and Staff to do their jobs.
  • To provide Infrastructure to Support College's Best Practices Deliverables .
  • To provide intranet to academic departments, not just Dean's office.
  • Currently phase will provide "one stop shopping" to help some group of faculty and staff with what they need to do on a regular basis. Goal is to have this phase largely complete this summer.

    • Taxonomy - Full site drafted, purchasing part complete.
    • Content - Drafted and in review
  • Graduate Programs
    • Taxonomy - Draft completed, needs editing (?)
    • Content - In process
  • Human Resources
    • Content - One page completed 8/11/05!!! (first content completed for new intranet)
    • Taxonomy - Identified 200+ topics at ~4 different stakeholder meetings. Will be going a "card sort" method to place topics under broader terms for taxonomy in January.
  • Safety
    • Taxonomy - Initial Draft completed
    • Content - Will make use of 200 page plus lab safety manual.
